HD tidbits from '11
[Pocket valve helps to save the day; "potato, potato, potato"].
The troublesome atmospheric valve of the De Dion design is replaced by the mechanical "ioe" 'inlet-over-exhaust' valve. This new mechanical feature would greatly improve the performance of the V-twin, and it's production restarts.

Because of a flood ruining some files, the production data for this year
is not completely known. There was an estimated 5,625 total production.

7 - 30ci, 28" wheels, battery ignition, $225

7A - 30ci, 28" wheels, magneto ignition, $250

7B - 30ci, 26" wheels, battery ignition, $225

7C - 30ci, 26" wheels, magneto ignition, $250

7D - 50ci, 28" wheels, magneto ignition, $300

Options: tank transfers w/red or gold centers, tank lettering gold w/red
outline or red w/gold outline.
Schebler Model H carb.
Acetylene lighting.

Paint: Renault gray w/broad red striping edged in black w/gold center
pinstripe; or at extra cost, (broad gray, dark gray, black or dark blue striping) each edged in red w/gold center stripe.
Note: Piano-finish Black w/gold pinstripping no longer available.

Changes:
F-head singles:
vertical cooling fins on cylinder head, straight section front downtube
on frame, one piece steel exhaust valve.

V-twins:
mechanical inlet valves-cam operated, full baffle with three 3/8" holes
in each side under front cylinder and half-baffle under rear cylinder,
60 degree seats on both valves, 1 piece steel exhaust valve, tensioning
system for drive belt.
Some specs: 6.5 hp, 56.5" wheelbase, 295 lbs, 2.5 gallon fuel tank, 1
gallon oil tank, 60 MPH.

MoCo minutes:
-481 employees
-Company borrows from Marshall and Ilsley Bank to enlarge factory.
Company enlarges, again, to 80,000 square feet.
