HD tidbits from '41
[ Buy your civilian 80ci motorcycle while you can. ]

The short lived 80ci is suspended from production, as will eventually be
all civilian models except under special permission by the government.
However, a 74ci F series Knucklehead would join the ranks.
FL specs: 73.73ci, (1208.19cc), 48hp @ 5,000 rpm, 6.6:1 compression,
33mm Linkert carb, 575 lbs, 95 mph.
1941 also saw the introduction of the 'rocket fin' muffler.

The final specs for the WLS are: 45.12ci, (739.38cc), 2.75" x 3.81"
bore/stroke, 5:1 compression, 23.5 hp @4,600 rpm, Linkert carb, duplex
chain primary, spring fork, 3.375 gallon fuel tank, 7.5 pints oil,
65mph.

Universal changes-all models: Oxide piston coating, centrifugally
controlled oil feed pump, 7" air cleaner, plain type aluminum hand
lever, "airplane style" speedo-(black face w/large silver numbers), 16"
wheels standard-(18" optional), battery grounded to frame.

Knuckle changes: larger & heavier 8.5" flywheels, mainshaft thrust
bearings fitted w/shields, redesigned crankcases, gear case cover has
breather passage "hump" diagonally across cover, intake manifold = .5"
longer to prevent vapor lock, frame has 29 degree neck angle, 1 gallon
reserve, speed lined muffler, gearshift cyanide hardened.

Chromed rims option = $2.50.
